Submarine Dive in Mauritius – Explore the Underwater World
Embark on an extraordinary underwater adventure aboard the BS 1100 Submarine, a certified passenger submarine designed to provide both safety and comfort throughout your journey.
During this 40-minute dive to 35 meters depth, discover the fascinating marine life of Mauritius through your individual observation window. Glide past vibrant coral reefs and observe colorful tropical fish such as surgeonfish, capitaine and kingfish in their natural habitat.
Your dive also reveals remarkable underwater landmarks, including the historic Star Hope shipwreck and a 17th-century sheet anchor, offering a glimpse into the island’s maritime history.
Inside the air-conditioned cabin, guests can follow the submarine’s descent live on a screen filmed from the support vessel above, while also witnessing the fascinating operation of the pneumatic ballast valves that control the submarine’s movement.

Submarine Experience – 2 hours excursion
- Welcome and briefing at the Blue Safari welcoming desk, in Trou aux Biches - 15 minutes
- Departure on the jetty; transfer by shuttle boat ‘Vaporetto 2’ to the submarine base “Le Ti Betty” - 15 minutes
- Boarding on the submarine, security briefing and immersion - 15 minutes
- Diving at 35 meters - 40 minutes
- Surfacing and back on the “Le Ti Betty” - 20 minutes
- Back to Blue Safari via shuttle boat, issue of certificates and refreshment - 15 minutes
- Duration: total tour 2hours; underwater time 40 minutes
- Comfortable seating, large viewing windows, controlled cabin pressure
- Bilingual live commentary describing species and reef features
- Dry experience — no diving or swimming required
- Level of fitness: suitable for most ages; children typically accepted from 4–6 years (operator rules vary)

Sea conditions: In the event of rough sea conditions, Blue Safari may cancel the dive for safety purposes and reschedule it for another day.
